What is ADAS and why is it important?

ADAS 3.jpg

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are functions of your vehicle that help to protect you from collisions. If your vehicle is equipped, the sensors and cameras provide intelligence to the driver of impending danger or may even take over steering to mitigate a collision event from occurring in the first place. The primary role of these systems is to help prevent injury or death by reducing the inertia on impact when complete avoidance is not possible. Helping reduce the severity of an accident, or avoiding an accident altogether is what the ADAS system is designed to help with by augmenting braking, steering and propulsion.

Do I need
Re-calibration?

ADAS calibration is recommended when a windshield is replaced to maintain the accuracy of onboard sensors. Anytime sensors are disrupted a re-calibration will return sensors back to proper alignment and help keep you safe.
